Green Receivables Fund

The Panel at the Brazil Lab evaluated proposals from around the world through an open tender where ideas were selected based on their capacity for action, innovation, the potential to catalyze private financial resources at scale, as well, as their ability to assist Brazil in its national climate priorities. The Green Receivables Fund aims to develop initiatives related to renewable energy and energy efficiency by creatively using existing financial instruments such as the Credit Rights Investment Fund (FIDC). This project proposed by Albion Capital and Get2C Brasil to The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance raise existing capital in the early stages of initiatives and to crossover to private investors. Thus, allowing companies to raise funds through the securitization of receivables and apply them to green projects.
