2nd edition of the Mayors for Climate Conference
A Get2Cin partnership with Jornal de Negócios and Cascais City Council, organized the 2nd edition Conference “Mayors for the Climate“, which took place at NOVA SBE, in Carcavelosno May 31, 2023, between the 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m..
This year’s event was attended by around 200 people, dozens of local authorities and organizations, who came together with the same goal: to move towards carbon neutrality. It was also attended by the Minister for the Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro, and the Mayor of Cascais, Carlos Carreiras, at the opening of the conference, as well as several mayors, councillors and climate change experts who made the debates very interesting by sharing best practices, knowledge and opinions according to the reality of each of their municipalities.
Mayors for the Climate is an initiative within the framework of Cooler World – a movement towards Carbon Neutrality created by Get2C.
Review the 1st edition of Mayors for the Climate
The 1st Mayors for the Climate Conference, organized by Get2C in partnership with Jornal de Negócios, took place on 6 July 2022. A hybrid event (face-to-face and online) hosted by Cascais City Council, which brought together some members of the government and the mayors of the largest Portuguese municipalities to share knowledge and good practices with a view to carbon neutrality.
