The Angolan Ministry of the Environment carried out a study to establish the basis for organizing, systematizing and improving the process of collecting data from the different sectors of activity for calculating GHG emissions (as part of the 1st National Communication of the UNFCCC). The main objectives of the project were to carry out an analysis of the emissions profile for each sector and identify information gaps in order to establish an MRV system in the country; to develop a proposal for improving the data collection process in each sector; and to identify the most appropriate methodology for drawing up GHG emissions scenarios.
